Laurence Turner

Chairman & Chartered Financial Planner

Our chairman Laurence started his career in financial services in 1986, training in capital investment and redundancy counselling. He founded Investing For Tomorrow in 1993, originally as a sole tradership, which grew to become a fully incorporated financial advice firm which still remains an independently-owned and family-run businesses today.

What do you love most about your job?
Watching the face of our clients, and friends, as they see the results of our financial planning come to fruition.

Do you have any hobbies or past-times?
I am a volunteer rider for the Whiteknights Yorkshire Blood Bikes.

What have you learned in your time working in the financial sector?
If it sounds too good to be true, then it is.  Sound advice leads to sound plans – which lead to successful outcomes and happy people.

Toby Turner

Managing Director & Financial Adviser

Toby joined Investing For Tomorrow in 2006 as an office administrator, beginning his long journey to become our managing director. 11 years later, Toby graduated to become a full Financial Adviser, before eventually taking over the day-to-day running of the business from his father Laurence.

What do you love most about your job?
Building lasting relationships with clients and seeing the positive impact that well-structured financial planning can have on their lives.

Do you have any hobbies or past-times?
I enjoy going to the gym, travelling and spending time with my wife and step-daughter. I am a big lover of music and film and was fortunate enough to be an extra in the DC Comics film, The Flash!

What have you learned in your time working in the financial sector?
The importance of adaptability. The market is constantly changing and it is essential to stay flexible while focusing on long-term goals. Personalised, bespoke advice is the key to success.

Gary Hanley

Director & Chartered Financial Planner

Gary joined the firm in 2017 and caries out a wide range of responsibilities as director of the company as well as being our Senior Paraplanner. Gary continues to provide suitable financial advice and carry out suitability reviews, research and analysis, and compliance.

What do you love most about your job?
I love the ‘family feel’ we have at Investing For Tomorrow, everyone is a valuable asset, a person and not just a number. This ethos extends to the respect we show clients who we ‘welcome to the family’.

Do you have any hobbies or past-times?
I enjoy going to see live music and myself and my wife Sue recently took on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, raising in excess of £2,500 for a charity close to our hearts, FND Dimensions. We are now planning our next challenge!

What have you learned in your time working in the financial sector?
It never stays still, which is why it is important to always be moving with it. 

Sue Moorhouse

Office Manager

Sue has been our Office Manager since 2018. She is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the office, providing vital support to both our team and our clients.

What do you love most about your job?
I love the variety my role brings and the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients.

Do you have any hobbies or past-times?
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, socialising, reading, and spending time with my grandchildren.

What have you learned in your time working in the financial sector?
I have learned the importance of communication and attention to detail in delivering excellent service.

Naomi Grierson

Office Administrator

Naomi has been with Investing For Tomorrow since 2019 and keeps the administration of the firm in good working order, ensuring that our clients are kept up to date and that all the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed

What do you love most about your job?
I really enjoy working alongside my colleagues and helping our clients deal with their financial needs.

Do you have any hobbies or past-times?
I have two sons and enjoy spending quality time with my family, plus going to the gym and being outdoors.

What have you learned in your time working in the financial sector?
A career in finance can be interesting and challenging. You never get bored if you’re constantly learning.

Callum Mulready

Office Administrator

Callum is our office administrator, providing crucial support to the team. Joining Investing For Tomorrow in 2022, Callum also brings some extra IT and computing skills to the office.

What do you love most about your job?
Working with and getting to meet amazing people. I am proud that I can be part of a team that helps clients meet their goals.

Do you have any hobbies or past-times?
I enjoy regularly experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. On most weekends I go Airsofting with friends.

What have you learned in your time working in the financial sector?
I am learning a lot because I am currently studying to obtain my first qualifications in financial advice with the goal of one day becoming an advisor myself.
